About Peace of Home

Peace of Home EldeResidences is owned and operated by Margaret Yochum Caruso, a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of professional experience and a specialty certification in Physical Rehabilitation Nursing (CRRN).

About the Residence

Located at 1009 Colonial Club Drive in Harahan, Louisiana, the residence features a comfortable, casual, wheelchair accessible neighborhood home with covered outdoor areas, single and double-occupancy rooms with large windows, dedicated therapy gym area, on-site kitchen and family-style dining.

As safety is a top priority at Peace of Home we are licensed by Louisiana Department of Health & Hospitals, State Fire Marshal and equipped with an overhead emergency sprinkler system. Our home is staffed 24/7 by qualified, trained caregivers who pass rigorous background checks and who participate in ongoing training that includes dementia training.

About the Area

Harahan is a small bedroom community that was named one of the “Safest and Cleanest cities in Louisiana”. The crime rate is extremely low and there is a near-immediate response rate from both the local Police and Fire Departments.

About Margaret

A graduate of Charity School of Nursing, Margaret went to nursing school with every intention of spending her nursing career working with the elderly. Her hospital and home health experience paired with an interest in real estate made opening a Residential Assisted Living Home a logical choice. While her years of experience in the medical community have allowed her to find quality caregivers to help care for your loved one, it is her extreme determination and work ethic that has allowed the home itself to become a reality.

With the support of her husband, family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and the City of Harahan,
Peace of Home EldeResidences looks forward to providing a piece of home for your peace of mind.

Caring for the elderly has been a life-long calling for Margaret which means caring for those at Peace of Home and beyond. A portion of all Peace of Home profits are donated to charitable organizations that support the elderly.
